Jill

Jill is an editor for a major publishing company and an avid online beauty blogger. Spending the majority of her time sitting down in front of a computer screen, she began to develop back problems and a concern for her overall health. It wasn't until her mid twenties that she decided to take an interest in physical fitness.
Never one for the gym or rigorous physical exercise, she scoured the internet hoping to find something that would push her to get into shape but appeal to her sense of creativity. She eventually found some information online about pole dancing and purchased an X-Pole to set up in her home. She was entirely self-taught for several years before hitting a plateau with her skills. Frustrated, she reached out to a few studios in the area to help hone her technique and learn more about proper fitness before finding her home with Awakenings Studio.

 


Still not a fan of dieting or monotonous exercise, she credits her lean muscular physique and good heath to a routine consisting of entirely aerial and pole fitness. She is now an aerial performer for fashion shows, clubs, and special events; having appeared as a special guest for Reflection?s Fashion events, the Polaris nightclub, and various conventions across the country. She is always looking to expand her knowledge of aerial dance and trains with private tutors for aerial silks, lyra, and trapeze. Already teaching an aerial hammock class at Awakenings, she will be teaching pole classes beginning in late April 2012.
